Silence detection is a common feature in high-availability radio applications. With Virtual Studio Manager, this function can be incorporated in a global control system, without the necessity for any additional external devices. In conjunction with audio routers that provide silence detection in their protocol, it’s easy to handle the control and supervision of multiple transmission lines. The VSM apology add-on includes rule management for up to three sources that can be configured to switch automatically according to their individually defined rules. Global alerts and manual intervention are also available. Once again: VSM may be controlling, but you keep control.
