How to configure
Even in multi-server applications, the setting up of a configuration with all its peripherals and control panels, only has to be carried out on one of the installed server machines. With just a simple mouse click, all the other servers are synchronized with immediate effect.
In the VSM software, various modules and windows, used to configure all the various settings, are available:
- Hardware I/O units and peripherals, including the hardware interfaces and their connection status
- Master crosspoint matrix for immediate modification and monitoring of every crosspoint within the system
- A signal path list with detailed information
- GPI/Os and tallies, with powerful rule management including Boolean operation
- Configuration pages for hardware, software, web and virtual panels
- ‘Gadgets’: change the parameters and other settings of attached devices, such as the audio level control in a router or the settings of a color corrector
- Timers
- ‘Pseudo’ devices: a flexible link page used to create routing rules for a variety of signals, for example, audio, video, control and/or timecode linking
