The control of broadcast systems is a very special discipline. As long as the interconnections and communications work correctly, no problems or faults will occur. But, in the event of even a short interruption, a safe re-connection scenario is mandatory. 

The VSM system works in the safest possible way:

It's not the triggered crosspoint or parameter changes that are indicated in the software and on the user panels, but the actual status of the attached devices that is displayed by the VSM system. This unique function is possible because the software works permanently in online mode, and is in constant communication with all routers and other systems. Furthermore, all changes in the vsmStudio software have an immediate effect, and no additional download to the attached devices is necessary.

The VSM system guarantees a smooth and safe transition from offline to online mode, without affecting current crosspoint settings or parameters.

For example, in the unlikely event that communication with one of the controlled devices is interrupted, after reconnection nothing more than a current status request of your device will be transferred by VSM.
